GLASS MEMORIA an installation with glass panels, objects, image and sound, 2017.
“When The Saints Go Marching In was the first song that transformed practice into performance on the piano.
I would glaze my eyes thru the mysterious glass window in the living room while playing the slow bluesy licks…”
Glass Memoria reconciles a memory of an object into a visual art installation. The Tiffany glass window that was sold to pay for my college undergraduate education has been replaced by photographic representation from my family’s photo archive. This image is projected through colored glass panels that come from the same factory that Tiffany glass was made. The reflection of the light and image are projected onto different window panes installed within the exhibition space.
The viewer sees my a recreation of my memory; the glass window as an audio/visual installation.
